The clay is centered, opened, and shaped on the wheel, bringing each piece to life.

Once leather-hard, each piece is trimmed by hand, refining the form before drying.

For handled pieces, each handle is pulled by hand, allowed to firm up, then carefully attached.

Drying can't be rushed. Each piece rests in a damp box to equalize moisture, then dries slowly to reduce stress on the clay before firing.

The first trip through the kiln reaches approximately 1,915°F, permanently transforming the clay into ceramic and preparing it for glaze.

Each piece is hand-glazed with up to 12 layers, building the depth and character that emerge in the final firing.

The second trip through the kiln reaches approximately 2,223°F, vitrifying the clay while the glaze transforms into a durable, glass-like surface.

Each piece is wet-sanded by hand, creating a smooth, silky base that won’t scratch your surfaces.
